Ark Transportation Announces Plans to Make Strongsville its Global Headquarters

Consolidation will add 103 new positions

Ark Transportation, Ltd., a family-owned logistics and transportation company providing customers with high quality freight solutions, has announced plans to consolidate its family of companies into a single location at 13000 Darice Parkway in the City of Strongsville. The Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) approved the project for tax credit assistance during its Ohio Tax Credit Authority meeting today. This opportunity will create 103 new positions in the state and retain 36 current jobs. The project is also supported with a City of Strongsville Grant.

The company has experienced significant growth over the past few years servicing domestic and international businesses. Ark Transportation needed to locate in a facility that will accommodate continued growth.

“From the beginning, Ark Transportation has been in Northeast Ohio and we value the business opportunities and prime location for regional, national and international shipping and logistics.  As our business continues to grow, we are grateful to Team NEO, JobsOhio and the City of Strongsville for their support as we make Strongsville our new global headquarters,” said Andrew Hurst, CEO of Ark Transportation.

A team consisting of members of the City of Strongsville, ODOD, JobsOhio, Team NEO, and Aerozone Alliance provided the company with insights to keep Ark Transportation in the Northeast Ohio Region, its home since 1991.

“The City of Strongsville welcomes Ark Transportation into our business community,” commented Mayor Thomas Perciak, City of Strongsville. “The investment the company is making within the City will create new job opportunities for area residents while further strengthening Strongsville’s business base.”

“With our infrastructure and trained workers, Northeast Ohio is an ideal location to move goods efficiently,” added Team NEO Chief Executive Officer Bill Koehler. ”Along with our local partners, ODOD, and JobsOhio we look forward to working with Ark Transportation to ensure their continued growth in the State of Ohio.”
