Richard (Rick) Batyko, Team NEO SVP of Marketing, Communications and Development, has been elected to a two-year term on the national board of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). PRSA is the world’s largest and foremost organization of public relations professionals with more than 22,000 public relations and communications professionals, in addition to more than 10,000 university and college students through the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA).
PRSA provides professional development, sets standards of excellence and upholds principles of ethics for its members. It also advocates for greater understanding and adoption of public relations services, and act as one of the industry’s leading voices on pivotal business and professional issues.
Batyko has served as chair of the Greater Cleveland and Akron chapters of PRSA and as chair of the six-state East Central District. In 2013, the Greater Cleveland Chapter presented Batyko with its Lighthouse Award, in recognition for his contributions to the profession and the community. In 2009, he was inducted into PRSA’s College of Fellows, an honorary organization comprised of more than 350 senior practitioners and educators, each of whom has left a significant footprint on the public relations profession.
