Biery Cheese Company Grows in the Northeast Ohio Region

Investment in innovation/automation to create 51 new jobs

Biery Cheese Company, a fourth generation, value-added cheese processor and custom food packaging company plans to grow their Louisville manufacturing facility in Stark County. The Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) approved the company for tax credit assistance at its meeting today for the project that will add 51 new positions and retain 449 jobs.

The project entails investment in additional equipment and advanced automation aimed at improving throughput and enhancing production capabilities. Once in place, these strategic assets will support the company in bringing new, innovative solutions and products to the marketplace.

“Team NEO, JobsOhio, and the Stark Economic Development Board have been excellent to work with through this process. As a fourth generation, Ohio based company, it is important to continue to grow and prosper in our home state,” says CEO Benjamin Biery. “As we continue with our vision, investing in our people, processes, and equipment are extremely important to our organization.”

“We welcome Biery Cheese Company’s decision to invest and grow in Stark County,” said Ray Hexamer, President and CEO of Stark Economic Development Board. “We are grateful for their partnership and confident we have the resources to support this innovative company’s growth.”

Team NEO’s CEO Bill Koehler added, “With more than 23,000 food manufacturing and production workers in the Northeast Ohio Region, we are well positioned to accommodate Biery Cheese Company’s growth.
