ByteGrid Celebrates Grand Opening in Downtown Cleveland
The ByteGrid Cleveland Data Center celebrated
its grand opening downtown last week. Located in the Cleveland
Technology Center on Rockwell Avenue, this national data storage
company is the largest data center of its kind in Ohio.
ByteGrid will aim to serve large corporations, hospital systems,
and government agencies in Northeast Ohio. Although data centers
are typically smaller-sized companies, ByteGrid’s Cleveland
Data Center has the potential capacity of about 300,000 square
feet.
ByteGrid strategically opened its Cleveland Data Center due to
the city’s low risk location and access to cost effective,
reliable power. The company noted that the Cleveland area is a low
risk seismic and hurricane zone and is geographically central to
most of corporate America. Cleveland also offers affordable
electricity rates and has one of the country’s most reliable
power grids.
The ByteGrid Cleveland Data Center is certainly a profitable
asset to the Cleveland area, as it is expected to spur economic
development and create millions of dollars in annual tax
revenue.
