Cleveland seeks to become a “gig city” with lightning-fast
Internet
According to a recent article from the Plain Dealer, Cleveland
and OneCommunity, a non-profit broadband provider, will soon
announce a new fiber optic network that will bring super fast
Internet connections to Cleveland’s Health-Tech
Corridor.
OneCommunity is aiming for a 100-gigabit-per-second system, which
would be one of the fastest in the world, according to sources
familiar with the project. “Fiber Internet” connections are
prized by businesses that deal in massive amounts of data.
