DRB Expands in the Northeast Ohio Region

83 positions to be added to support technology solutions provider

DRB, a provider of point-of-sale and optimization technology to the car wash, quick lube and light repair industries, announced plans to add 83 new positions to meet the demand of their products. The Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) approved the project for tax credit assistance at its meeting earlier this week.

The addition of jobs is necessitated by dramatic company and industry growth. The additional employees will be in strategic roles in research and development, technical support, finance and more.

“The Economic Development team at Team NEO and their local partners at Summit County and the City of Green have been phenomenal to work with,” said Jerry Gilin, DRB Director of Talent Development. “They provided much needed support and unexpected resources to further fuel our growth trajectory here in Northeast Ohio. We look forward to many years of continued partnership.”

Members of the economic development team share their insights:

“DRB, founded in Green, Ohio in 1984, has always remained committed to our community,” said Gerard Neugebauer, mayor of the City of Green. “We enjoy seeing one of our many tech companies continue to succeed and grow. Congratulations to the entire DRB team.”

“DRB has been instrumental in developing and designing software driving unprecedented growth in the car wash industry,” stated Gregg Cramer, Vice President of Economic Development with the Greater Akron Chamber.  “They are an industry leading – and disruptive – company that found a business climate and workforce ready to support their continued growth right here in Northeast Ohio.  We look forward to continuing working with them in the years ahead.”

“Summit County is excited that DRB Systems, a rapidly-growing company advancing Car Washing Technology, will expand their services in Green,” said Summit County Executive Ilene Shapiro. “Through collaboration with OhioMeansJobs Summit and Team NEO, this innovative company is expected to bring several new jobs to Summit County. We look forward to watching DRB’s continued growth.”

“With 1,600 technology annual graduates in the Northeast Ohio Region, DRB is well positioned to find talent as the company experiences growth in their industry,” said Team NEO Chief Executive Officer Bill Koehler. “Along with our local partners, ODOD and JobsOhio, we look forward to working with DRB as it continues to grow in the Northeast Ohio Region.”
