International automotive manufacturer to add jobs, new production lines
Newman Technology, Inc., a leading Tier 1 automotive manufacturer of precision-engineered components, announced plans to invest $74 million to expand its operations in the City of Mansfield. The company will add new production lines enabling the creation of 70 jobs and retention of 627 existing positions in the Northeast Ohio Region. The Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) approved the project for a tax credit during its Ohio Tax Credit Authority meeting today.
Newman Technology’s product offering includes door assemblies, exhaust systems, trim, structural reinforcements, and plastic injection molded parts. The company has a reputation for precision, quality, and innovation in the industry. This expansion represents a commitment to long-term growth in Ohio.

Ultimately, decision makers chose to grow in Ohio with the support of an economic development team consisting of Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development, City of Mansfield, ODOD, JobsOhio, and Team NEO.
