Oatey Expands in Northeast Ohio
Oatey Co., a Cleveland-based manufacturer of plumbing products,
recently announced the groundbreaking of its new headquarters. The
43,500 square foot building will be located at Emerald Corporate
Park on the city’s West Side.
Oatey CEO, John McMillan, said that the new headquarters will aim
to foster collaboration among the company’s associates and
corporate staff. According to McMillan, Oatey wanted to remain
headquartered in Cleveland but initially had difficulty finding a
convenient building to buy or renovate. The new two-story building
will allow the company to combine its headquarters staff from three
locations at manufacturing facilities in Cleveland. Oatey expects
the building to be completed next year.
The construction and expansion of Oatey’s new headquarters
will have a positive impact on Northeast Ohio. The new location is
designed by Cleveland-based architecture and design firm, Vocon,
and will be constructed by Garfield Heights-based Donley’s
Inc. The project is expected to create 80 new jobs and
approximately $3.8 million in payroll.
