Pennex Aluminum Expands in Columbiana County

Pennex
Aluminum Company
recently announced its plans to expand its
Leetonia, Ohio facility in Columbiana County. The $38 million
project will create 65 jobs and retain another 67. The expansion
was necessary to install a new, state-of-the-art 12-inch precision
aluminum extrusion press. The project will almost triple the size
of the company’s current facility and is the largest
expansion in the company’s history.

“This investment in the Leetonia community represents the
continued comeback and expansion of American manufacturing right
here in Ohio,” says Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor. “This
investment in the community and job creation is yet another example
that the economic turnaround is happening and Ohio is helping lead
the way.”

The Pennex facility in Leetonia creates highly specialized parts
for major automotive manufacturers and other transportation related
companies.
