Progressive Announces Plans to Add 900 New Jobs in Region
As the nation’s fourth largest auto insurer and a leading seller of other insurance products, Progressive Insurance recently announced that it will expand in Northeast Ohio. The expansion will bring 900 new jobs to the state and retain nearly 10,000 positions.
Progressive Chief Human Resources Officer Lori Niederst cited the business-friendly environment and large pool of qualified talent in the region as key factors in the company’s selection of Northeast Ohio. “Progressive has called Northeast Ohio home for 80 years. We know it’s a great place to live, work and play and we’re pleased to be adding jobs here,” said Niederst. “We are committed to attracting and developing the top talent in this area to help us meet our goal of becoming the number one choice and destination for auto and other insurance.”
A team of representatives from Team NEO, JobsOhio and the Greater Cleveland Partnership (GCP) collaborated closely to ensure the company’s continued growth remain in Northeast Ohio.
