German-based Rutronik opens its first North American HQ in
Independence
Rutronik, an international electronic distributor, recently
opened its North American Headquarters in Independence. The
German-based company currently employs six people at their
Independence office, and they plan on expanding to at least 50
employees within three to four years. This Northeast Ohio
headquarters is the company’s first location in the United
States.
Team NEO met with Rutronik’s leadership in Stuttgart,
Germany last September to convince the company’s board and
Vice President, Jeff Shafer, that Cleveland was a better location
than Detroit for its North American headquarters.
“We are excited to locate our North America headquarters in
Northeast Ohio and with the continued help and support of Team NEO,
we are sure to welcome success and opportunities across the various
regions,” Shafer said. He also met with Team NEO in Cleveland
before the company decided to open this location.
The Cleveland Plus region offers an ideal environment for
international business operations. For more information,
