Seasoned economic development professional to help business growth and job creation efforts
CLEVELAND, Ohio, November 12, 2018 – Team Northeast Ohio (Team NEO) announced today that Shawn Starlin, former economic development professional with Wayne Economic Development Council and Holmes County Economic Development Council, has joined the organization as a business development director.
Most recently, Starlin assisted in projects totaling more than one billion in capital investment and 4,600 new jobs in his six years at Wayne Economic Development Council. At Holmes County Economic Development Council he served as the first director of the council.
“We are delighted to welcome Shawn to Team NEO,” said Christine Nelson, Team NEO vice president of project management, site selection and talent. “His background and depth of experience in working with businesses in Holmes and Wayne counties will allow him to quickly make a different in our region’s efforts to help businesses grow here.”
In his new role, Starlin reports to Nelson and will work with Team NEO’s regional partners and business leaders throughout the 18-county region that spans from Sandusky and Mansfield in the west to Youngstown, Ashtabula and East Liverpool in the east, and from Cleveland to Dover and New Philadelphia, north to south.
