Team NEO Appoints Innovative Leader to Its Board of Directors

CLEVELAND, Ohio, March 11, 2019 – The board of directors of Team NEO has appointed Andy Jones, CEO of MCPc Inc., to the organization’s board. He joins a group of regional business leaders dedicated to advancing Northeast Ohio’s economy.

Jones is a natural fit for the organization as Team NEO looks to continue growing the smart manufacturing cluster to further strengthen Northeast Ohio’s competitiveness in the global economy. His organization, MCPc, is a technology industry thought-leader with a keen focus on data security and endpoint-and-device lifecycle management for modern, connected organizations.

“Andy was instrumental in providing guidance throughout the development of the Smart Manufacturing – Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) Commercialization Roadmap released late last year,” said Team NEO CEO Bill Koehler. “His insights into the increasingly pivotal role of innovation in manufacturing has helped us understand the magnitude of technology’s influence in driving our region’s economic growth.”

Team NEO Board Chairman Robert C. Smith, partner and Cleveland market leader of Cerity Partners LLC, added, “We welcome Andy and the unique perspectives he brings to the table. His acumen runs deep, not only in the innovation realm but also as the leader of a company that exemplifies the great potential of Northeast Ohio’s technology cluster. He knows the challenges as well as the opportunities for these firms and will be an important voice as we strive toward excellence on the global stage.”

About Andy Jones

Since joining MCPc in 2010, Andy Jones has been a key driver behind MCPc’s transition from a value-added reseller to a market-shaper who provides services and solutions around a prescribed, wholistic approach to data-and-device technology management that helps customers mitigate risk, manage compliance and optimize the total cost of their technology through a secure, Chain-of-Custody process that today distinguishes MCPc from its competition.

Concurrently, Andy has helped guide MCPc through a complete transformation around the company’s physical footprint by investing in facilities dedicated to each phase of the three-part Chain-of-Custody solution. By focusing on the technology, processes and people needed to optimize the speed and precision at which customers receive products and services, MCPc has been able to broaden the scope and scale of its business model. In the past two years, under his watch, MCPc has opened a new integration and logistics center, an expanded security operations center, and a secure asset disposition facility.

Along with MCPc’s chairman, Mike Trebilcock, he has helped extend the company’s commitment to education through internships with high schools and colleges and the creation of the MCPc Cyber Education Center and Security Operations Center through the Ridge College of Intelligence Studies at Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania. This facility provides students training and easily-accessible jobs on campus and makes them workforce-ready for technology jobs upon graduation.

In addition to his role at MCPc, Andy is committed to giving back to the communities MCPc serves. He is a trustee of MCPc’s charitable arm, MCPc Family Charities. An avid cyclist, he formed TeamMCPc, made up of employees, customers, partners and community leaders, which has raised nearly $1 million in funds for cancer and diabetes research and treatment. TeamMCPc participates in several events yearly: the American Cancer Society’s Pan Ohio Hope Ride, the American Diabetes Association’s Tour de Cure, and Cleveland Clinic’s VeloSano “Bike to Cure” weekend.

After serving honorably as an Airborne Infantryman in the US Army, Andy received a bachelors and master’s from Morehead State University. He and his wife Amy have three daughters, ranging in age from middle school to college.
