Team NEO Appoints Two Northeast Ohio Business Executives to its Board

Hyster-Yale and Westfield executives join organization’s board

The board of directors of Team NEO has appointed two prominent Northeast Ohio executives to the organization’s board: Rajiv Prasad, President and CEO, Hyster-Yale Group and Frank Carrino, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary, Westfield Insurance.

Prasad and Carrino join a prominent group of Northeast Ohio business leaders dedicated to building a more robust and equitable regional economy.

Prasad brings insights related to manufacturing, product development, supply chain and IT – critical issues for Northeast Ohio. His global business leadership, innovation and strategic partnership experience will be a substantial asset to Team NEO. 

Carrino adds significant experience in legal affairs, corporate compliance, government relations and community investment. His work to carry out Westfield’s mission of providing peace of mind and financial stability to its customers aligns with Team NEO’s goal of ensuring that all Northeast Ohioans have opportunities to participate in our region’s prosperity.

About Rajiv Prasad

Rajiv K. Prasad is President and CEO of Hyster-Yale Group. Prasad is charged with providing the strategic vision, global leadership and guide executions that keep Hyster-Yale Group moving forward.

Prior to his promotion to President and CEO, Prasad was Chief Product and Operations Officer at Hyster-Yale Group, where he guided all aspects of product development, manufacturing, quality, supply chain and IT. Prasad joined Hyster-Yale Group in 2007 where he led developments that included introduction of the new Global/Product Platforms.

Prasad began his career in product development with Ford Motor Company. Thirteen years later, he joined Lear Corporation, taking on positions with greater responsibility, before moving to International Truck and Engine Corporation where he served as Vice President of Global Product Development.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Advanced Vehicle Concepts from Loughborough University, in Leicestershire, UK.

About Frank Carrino

Carrino assumed the role of Chief Legal Officer and Secretary for Westfield in 2003. He is responsible for leading Westfield’s legal affairs and has oversight of corporate compliance, internal audit, government relations and community investment. Before joining Westfield, Carrino served in various leadership positions with Price Waterhouse Coopers and Ernst & Young.

He received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Akron, Juris Doctor from the University of Akron Law School and Master of Laws from Capital University Law School. He was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1987 and is a CPA (inactive). Carrino also served as an adjunct professor of law at Capital University Law School.

Carrino is Secretary of the Ohio Farmers Insurance Company Board of Directors and also serves on the boards of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, as Vice Chair and SummaCare.
