The Cleveland Council on World Affairs (CCWA) has appointed Mindy McLaughlin, Managing Director of Global Business Development at Team NEO, to its board of directors. By leveraging McLaughlin’s considerable international experience, this appointment will provide a boost to the council’s projects and programming.
McLaughlin has more than 15 years of global economic development expertise, facilitating foreign direct investment and supporting international companies looking to expand in the Northeast Ohio region. At Team NEO, Mindy leads the Global Business Development practice, helping Northeast Ohio become a preferred global destination. She previously served as a Senior Manager in the Global Sales operations for JobsOhio, the state’s private economic development corporation.
“We are thrilled to welcome Mindy to our board,” said CCWA CEO Carina Van Vliet. “She has long been involved in our programs, and her deep knowledge of attracting foreign investment and developing international partnerships will be invaluable as we work to foster global engagement here in Cleveland.”

The Cleveland Council on World Affairs (CCWA) has been promoting international engagement in the greater Cleveland area for 100 years. CCWA was founded in 1923 to foster greater understanding of world affairs amongst citizens of Cleveland, with the notion that better international understanding would help promote world peace.
