Spotlight – Success Story
Intel

In January 2022, Intel announced that it would be onshoring thousands of jobs by building its most advanced semiconductor manufacturing facility in Ohio – a $20 billion investment by the company. Since then, JobsOhio has been hard at work helping to bring the generational opportunity to life by securing jobs for thousands of Ohioans and recalibrating manufacturing in the United States.
Work is already underway to build a sustained talent pipeline to support the 3,000 jobs needed in Ohio. JobsOhio is supporting Intel with candidate recruitment marketing, events, and sourcing and pre-screening services through 2025. Engineers, technicians, and other administrative roles will be filled with an average wage for the 3,000 jobs of $135,000.
Intel plans to make significant investments over the next decade in partnership with Ohio universities, community colleges and the U.S. National Science Foundation. This investment in talent means that skilled workers will relocate to Ohio, and Ohio students, young people, and families will stay here.
The project was made possible by many months of intense collaboration between the JobsOhio team and Regional Network Partners across the state. Leveraging the competitive advantages of JobsOhio, Intel and Ohio were able to move at the speed of business.
