Economic Development & Community Development Efforts – Discrepancies Without Differences
A vibrant community is interdependent on both Economic Development and Community Development assets and tactics. The March NODE virtual partner meeting will be a lively discussion about how “community development” assets, such as county land banks and neighborhood revitalization groups, should be considered for use in “economic development” settings. The session will challenge practitioners’ customary splitting of the two approaches, and seek to re-introduce the notion that economic development is community development, and the tools are interchangeable.
