Woman-owned Tier I and II OEM manufacturer to add 152 new positions
Applied Metals Technologies (AMT), providing custom machining, coating and polishing of premium aluminum wheels serving automotive, commercial vehicle, and aerospace sectors announced plans to expand its operations. The company will bring new wheel production onshore, hiring 152 new positions while retaining 32 jobs. The Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) approved the project for a tax credit during its Ohio Tax Credit Authority meeting earlier this week.
With two existing locations in Northeast Ohio, AMT, operating under the business name Pro Performance Wheels, will establish a new wheel casting facility in Bedford Heights. Focused on vertical integration, the new casting line will enable the company to undertake end-to-end full wheel production from raw material to finished product. Once operational, AMT will cast and finish wheels for high-end OEM platforms as well as high-performance military, aerospace and aftermarket vehicle applications.

An economic development team consisting of the City of Bedford Heights, ODOD, JobsOhio, and Team NEO assisted the company as it considered its location options for this project.
