Co-location data center to add capacity, employment in Akron and Independence
ark data centers, LLC, a digital infrastructure provider delivering enterprise-class data center solutions, announced plans to invest more than $136 million to expand data processing capabilities at its existing locations in Akron and Independence. The company will add 10 new jobs and will retain 27 existing positions in the Northeast Ohio Region. The Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) approved the project for an Ohio Data Center Tax Credit during its Ohio Tax Credit Authority meeting Monday.

This sustainable approach provides performance and reliability to customers in the management of critical, high-performance workloads. The investments to be made at the Akron and Independence campuses will result in job growth and urban infill/reuse at these locations.

With 10 data centers located across the U.S., ark chose to expand its operations in Northeast Ohio with project collaboration provided from ODOD, JobsOhio, and Team NEO.
