CLEVELAND, Ohio, April 29, 2026 – In the first quarter of 2026, a total of seven businesses throughout Northeast Ohio were awarded JobsOhio Small Business Grants that will create 34 new jobs with $2.3 million in annual payroll, retain153 existing positions representing $10.8 million in annual payroll, and generate $2.8 million in capital investment.
Team NEO continues to lead the state in awarding JobsOhio Small Business Grants that offer up to $50 thousand in financial assistance to eligible small businesses in Ohio looking to grow their operations. Projects must operate within one of JobsOhio’s 10 target industries and have annual revenues between $100 thousand and $25 million.
Commenting on the importance of small business grants, Team NEO’s Senior Director of Project Management and Small Business Grant Lead Stephen Caviness noted, “Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, representing almost 44% of our workforce, underscoring the significance of the JobsOhio Small Business Grant program.”
