Team NEO is the JobsOhio Network Partner for Northeast Ohio, the economic development organization working with all 14 counties of the Northeast Ohio Region. How Team NEO has spent 2025 ensuring businesses are thriving in Northeast Ohio.
Business Retention & Expansion Key Highlights
- Completed at least 10 BRE meetings in each of the14 counties of Northeast Ohio.
- Biggest strides were made within the aerospace and healthcare sectors with key sector partners such as NASA and our world-recognized healthcare providers.
- Outside of our largest sector – advanced manufacturing – IT (8) and food processing (5) led the way with new projects created.
- The Polymer Industry Cluster continues to build momentum, driving increased regional interest through coordinated messaging with Team NEO and JobsOhio, as well as strong lead and referral exchange, and deeper partnership across attraction activities.
Business Attraction
- Conducted a successful mission to Asia (including Vietnam, Taiwan, Japan, Korea) to meet face-to-face with foreign companies. This engagement is a differentiator that will keep Northeast Ohio competitive in a crowded global landscape. We met with companies in advance manufacturing, polymers & chemicals, and advanced materials.
- Domestically, examined and determined which trade shows and market visits produce the most fruitful results, with the highest ROI. We generated more leads for our domestic attraction pipeline than in years past. The 38 domestic attraction leads in 2025 represents a 42% increase over 2024.

The project management solutions team closed a win in all 14 Northeast Ohio counties, and led the state with the greatest number of project wins.

In October, Team NEO released the ninth edition of the Aligning Opportunities report, a data-rich research resource designed to address the region’s workforce demand and supply imbalance.
In February, Team NEO launched VEI, 1.0, a public facing interactive tool showcasing how regional partners can leverage actionable insights to align strategies, measure progress, and drive transformative growth for Northeast Ohio.

Ohio Space Forum Attracts Global Audience
Organizations came together to celebrate Ohio Space Week, September 8–13. For the first time, Team NEO produced the Ohio Space Forum at NASA Glenn Research Center on September 11. The Forum convened leaders from across the globe in aerospace, government, academia, and research to examine Ohio’s growing role in shaping the future of space exploration.
NEO Rising
Team NEO’s annual meeting celebrated economic development professionals and our collective achievements advancing economic growth across the region. The event included an inspiring keynote from Team NEO CEO Matt Dolan, offering a glimpse into his first 90 days at the helm of the organization, including insights from his 14-county listening tour. He outlined a visionary approach to economic development, presenting ideas that hold opportunities for the region’s future.
ED NOW
The seventh annual ED NOW event, a state-wide program done in partnership with Ohio Economic Development Association (OEDA), focuses on elected officials, serving as a venue to discuss those things that community leaders can consider to be more competitive and ready for business investment.
Developing Opportunities
The launch event for the third edition of Developing Opportunities report, providing insights on the latest data and trends to enhance the availability of ready to-develop manufacturing sites, featured keynote Darin Buelow, Principal, Global Location Strategy Leader: Deloitte Consulting. We also showcased local trailblazers across the region in a series of fast-paced, rapid-fire presentations who are putting the Developing Opportunities framework into action and redefining what it means to be “ready.”
Aligning Opportunities
A sold-out crowd of more than 250 talent-ecosystem professionals attended the launch of the ninth annual Aligning Opportunities report, which showcased the report’s data-driven insights.

The engagement team facilitated a 14-county listening tour, enabling the new CEO to engage regional partners, better understand ongoing efforts, and identify opportunities to collaborate more effectively.
